Welcome to the Lopez Island Community Tennis Association (LICTA) web site.  LICTA is a non-profit organization that survives solely through memberships and generous donations. Its mission is to provide avenues to further the game of tennis within our community. We believe that a thriving tennis program benefits the community as a whole by offering fun activity, friendly competition, tennis instruction, health and fitness.

The tennis courts are located at Lopez School and are available to anyone wishing to play tennis.  The courts are owned and maintained by the Association and are solely supported by contributions through membership in LICTA.  Many of our Association members are not tennis players, but consider the courts an important and attractive asset for our community and guests

2011 Lopez Tournament draw

The LICTA membership meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 28, 2011.  It will be a potluck at the tennis courts at 6:00pm with the meeting starting around 6:30pm.

The 2011 Lopez Open will be held the weekend of August 5-7, 2011.

2010 Tournament Results

The following is the tentative schedule for Sunday, Aug 8, 2010.

All matches except the finals will be played as 10 game pro sets.

Tournament matches are CANCELLED for TODAY, except….

The Maxson/Driskell vs McDaniel/McDaniel match might happen this afternoon if by some miracle it clears up.  Christie and Timothy, talk to Tom.

We will try to resume matches tomorrow morning at 9 am.

Those coming from San Juan/Orcas can take the usual boat that arrives at 9:55

2010 Lopez Open Tournament Draw

We got an award!  We’re not exactly sure why, but we think it was for most non-conforming to the theme of the parade.  Oh well, it was fun anyway.
